Country Lane Nursery- Online Plant Nurseries
Country Lane Nursery a online plant nursery that has the plants, seeds and flowers for yard, garden or landscape. affordable prices at our online plant nursery!
Country Lane Nursery has been in business in the small Texas town of Boerne (pronounced ‘bernie’) for over 20 years. We began by growing for the wholesale trade and supplying retail nurseries and florists all over the Texas Hill Country with foliage, flowering, native, deer-resistant, drought-tolerant, blooming patio plants and unusual plants that nobody around here seems to grow. We learned how to grow many varieties of plants and how to propagate them.
We installed drip irrigation in several of our growing areas so we could use water responsibly, and pay great attention to sanitation, cleanliness and ventilation in our nursery in order to minimize pests and disease.
Later on, when growing and delivering so many plants got to be too much for us and even our delivery truck protested, we converted our position from wholesale to retail, upgraded the nursery, put out a big sign at the road, and invited folks to our ‘new’ retail facility. In order to become known in the area as a retail plant destination, we began to sell our plants at weekend markets and shows in the area and had quite a following. We began the year with the San Antonio Home and Garden Show at the Alamodome in February, and ended with An Old Fashion Christmas in the small town of Castroville in December. All in all, we did well over 50 shows a year!
We still grow our own plants and propagate lots of them by seed, cuttings, division, and any other way we can. We also feel that it is important to tell our customers about the plants they buy from us so that they are successful in growing them.
